anywhere there's water.

i take that back.  i've never been to the desert or anywhere like it.  but i'm sure i would find it to be very sacred there, too.  thing is, the earth is sacred to me, all of it.  some places i feel spirit more strongly (and in my experience, that has always been near certain bodies of water), some places i feel different kinds of spirit, but all is sacred.  that's just how it is.  and sooner or later humans as a general rule will recognize the sanctity in all of creation (including ourselves).

to travel different places,
to see different things,
to meet different people.
to be accepted for who i am
instead of being always pushed away
because i'm too much different from the group.
freedom has not happened yet.
peace has not happened yet.
but i've seen glimpses of it,
and i know it's coming soon!
are you ready for it?

is there such a thing as a new idea?  i don't know about that.  but there definitely are new ways of talking about old ideas.  that's what i'm all about.  peace, freedom, setting humanity free from the lies that history tells.  same old, same old.

oh my!  what a f*ed up question that is....  value?  oh dear oh dear.  you start talking values, it's ego talk you know.  maybe you don't know.  values is ...  well it's the appearances.  it's what other people think.  it don't matter at all to me.  always thought that was the number one reason i don't fit in was because i won't even try to be somebody or something i am not, just so others might accept me as one of their group.

i am very resolute.  when i get it in my mind that i want something, i don't give up.  just ask my husband, poor thing.  he never stood a chance against my hard- headedness.  he tried, bless his heart.  he refused to tell me he loved me, over a year it was before he could bring himself to saying the dreaded "L" word!  and he tried breaking up with me, a few times.  regardless, six years later i asked him to marry me...  by then he knew resistance was futile.

this question is worded very strangely.  what would *I* like to be more clear about?  um...  i'm so damn clear, i'm transparent!  (as my dear friend john pointed out, there is much to be said for invisibility) now, surely there are things that i would like to be more clear.  the windows would be a good place to start.  i like being able to see out, especially when it's raining and i'm stuck inside.  there's something about water, water, water...  :-) 

share wisdom with others?  i can't do that.  you either have your own wisdom, or none at all.  it isn't something anyone can give you.  you have to find it yourself.  anybody can repeat the pretty words spoken by those who are perceived to be wise, it doesn't really count if you aren't doing your own thinking for yourself.

but i do have a song to sing.  and i'm singing it loud and clear.  i speak my truth, instead of what others have told me to believe is true.  not so that you might somehow agree with me, but rather that you might somehow realize that you don't have to add your voice to the chorus of bleats coming from the herd.  you have a song inside you, too.  your very own truth, it comes from realizing your own wisdom, rather than following obediently the leaders who are every bit as much a part of that herd as the followers who look to them for answers (answers they already have and don't know it).

i don't hold too tightly onto my beliefs.  i remain open to learning more, something new comes to light every day, my beliefs change, and with them the choices that i make change too.  truth is one of those things, like love, that if you grasp for it, it will elude you every time.  the tighter you try to hold on to it, the further away from you it goes.

the right wrappings...  should i be a brown-paper package, tied up with string?  should i be adorned with ribbons and bows?  satin and lace?  or maybe leather?  what is preventing me from being a present?  perhaps nothing more than the fear my gift will not be received.

or maybe you mean a different kind of present.  the now kind of present, i got that pretty much down pat.  i learned the hard way that what prevented me from being the now kind of present was denying the past and a profound lack of hope in the future.  you know, like the exact opposite of what them guru types like to say about being present.  and you can shake your head and say it's a shame that i don't understand, that's okay.  in order to be present, you can't deny what happened in the past that got us here, nor can you avoid what's ahead of you.  but that's just me, and besides, time don't even exist anyway.  but don't tell anybody that, they like to think it does.  maybe that belief makes them feel more "present" hahahahahaha

then there's also the here kind of present.  and well, wherever you go, there you are.  but i have been known to be a bit spacey sometimes.  not always quite here, if you know what i mean.  have heard it described as a lack of grounding.  i guess that makes sense.  i often find my mind wandering miles and miles away from here.  but, it also seems that the more grounded i feel, the more other people perceive me to be spacey.  so there you go, more of my experience that goes the exact opposite to what people say about things.  i'm just contrary like that.  :-)
