;)
I have a feeling your first thought was the same as mine Stacy.
Great minds think alike.

my first thought was about this song here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ICMble86Swg
All my life I've been searchin'
All my life I've been uncertain
I been abandoned and left alone
At fifteen I had to leave home
The black sheep, the bad seed
At a roadside bar in Tennessee
I met an angel to rescue me
She rescued me
She wore blue jeans and a rosary
Believed in God and believed in me
All her friends think she's a little crazy
She wears a smile, heart on her sleeve
Don't give a damn what the world thinks of me
She tells me it's all good
She's happy with a bad seed
Happy to be misunderstood
Two packs and a pint a day
To hide the shame
And wash away the pain
Aww the pain
Every road was a dead-end street
Runnin' from the law
And runnin' on empty
You couldn't shake the marks that were left on me
At a roadside bar in Tennessee
I met an angel to rescue me
She rescued me
She wore blue jeans and a rosary
Believed in God and believed in me
All her friends think she's a little crazy
She wears a smile, heart on her sleeve
Don't give a damn what the world thinks of me
She tells me it's all good
She's happy with a bad seed
Happy to be misunderstood

no, that was not my first thought, either…
and i keep editing this, gonna run out of my fifteen minutes edit window…
must start new comment instead…
my first answer to this question was that i can't do or say anything. they either know i love them, or they don't, and it doesn't matter how i try to express what i'm feeling, if they aren't feeling it, too….
and i was gonna post this song here instead:

aw hell, the answer to this question keeps changing.
it's a mystery…
*giggle*
Heart on the sleeve. :) I do this too, but it gets me in trouble a lot.
well, it took me forty years before i stopped apologizing for being honest about how i feel. lying about my feelings has always gotten me into way more trouble than the heart-on-sleeve disease. (((hugs)))
